Submission Instructions

To submit photos for your www page, or if you would like to submit photographs to our photo album, please send them to the Webmaster in one of the following formats, listed in the preferred order:

Best  For up to 10  pictures - a jpeg (jpg) file by e-mail, 50 to 75 kb size for each photo.

or

 For more than 10 pictures - a jpeg (jpg) file on 3.5" floppy disk. We have received many damaged floppies so pack them carefully.  If you can burn a CD, I can use that also.

A rough suggestion for optimal scanning parameters for www use:
Scan at 150 pixels per inch, reduce size to 750 pixels wide or 550 pixels high (so it will fit on an 800 X 600 monitor) and set jpeg compression to about 40%.

Good  Photographs (I'll return the photos if you include a sase.) Any photos that you don't want back will be sent to the BoF "Keeper of the Photo Album" for adding to our collection.

Please include the following for each photograph for the photo album:

	Date taken
	Location
	Description of photo
	File or attachment name (for e-mail or floppy)
	Suggested caption
	Your name (and if you want credit or want to be anonymous)
	Permission to put the photo(s) on the WWW. **

** (This means you have to ask the people who appear in the photo if it is OK to post it. We don't need a signed release or anything, we just don't want to make anyone mad.)
